Amanda Lin Costa

A graduate of Emerson College, Amanda spent the majority of her life working in the vanities in costumes, wigs and sets, and creating content and digital strategies for brands and nonprofits.

She is an industry expert on cross-platform, multimedia storytelling and she’s been quoted in books on the subject including Out of the Shadows, Into the Streets!: Transmedia Organizing and the Immigrant Rights Movement (The MIT Press) and written on the topic for The Washington Post, PBS, The Huffington Post and other publications.

Most recently, she acquired the rights to the book, “Around the World on Two Wheels: Annie Londonderry’s Extraordinary Ride” by Peter Zheutlin and is developing it as a TV series. Her TV Pilot, Londonderry, was selected for WeForShe’s 2018 WriterHer Ones to Watch List and semi-finalist for the WGA Made in NY Writers Room.

Her feature film, Another Life, was selected as a 2016 semi-finalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting and nominated by the PGA’s Women’s Impact Network to participate in the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) Finance Lab.

She is currently in post production on the documentary, The Art of Memories, which follows the communities of Beavercreek, OH and Saratoga Springs, NY as they build 9/11 memorials from WTC steel artifacts.

She recently served on the Board of Directors of Women in Film New York as the Vice-President of Communications.
