It was an honor to be asked to guest on #scriptchat. I spoke on the topic of documentaries, docu-series and reality tv though I found most of the questions that flew at me a hundred miles per hour were on documentary filmmaking.
Anyone that knows me, knows I am a big fan of Twitter. I’ve made friends and business contacts on that short and to the point community. #Scriptchat, run by @Jeannevb, a vivacious tweep I like to call my friend, is just one of the resources available to those wanting to join the “industry” – there are other chats as well like #postchat run by @Dr0id another friend I have made through Twitter.
If you aren’t on Twitter yet, what’s stopping you? Too many writers I know become more and more reclusive with each written page until they seem to have forgotten this is an industry of who you know. So get out there and know some people. Tweeps don’t bite. Come join Twitter. Say hello. I’ll introduce you to folks. I promise.
You can find the transcipt for #scriptchat here along with the Eu session that featured the talented filmmakers of Senna.
